Amendments


13th Amendment:

This amendment helped for us to move toward Diversity because emancipation was pushed to the top of the agenda. And the 13th amendment, which ended slavery, was then added to the Constitution and the Emancipation Proclamation was introduced on January 1st, 1863.external image amendments_scramble.jpg

14th Amendment:

The 14th amendment helped push us closer to Equality and Diversity. This is because the 14th amendment gave former slaves liberties and rights. This helped to make everyone treated the same, Equality, and for Diversity because it worked on bringing a mix of different cultures together.

15th Amendment:

On February 3, 1870, the 15th amendment was ratified, and this granted African American men the right to vote. This was another step closer to Equality, and to Justice, because more and more people where starting to be treat fairly.

All these amendments really helped to move us closer to giving everyone Individual Rights.
